The figure is shown on the left of the picture. This incense smoker figurine is made by Holzkunst Gahlenz. The history of craftsmanship from the little town of Gahlenz (50 km from Dresden) goes back to to the year 1652. The workshop Holzkunst Gahlenz was founded in the 1920s.Gahlenz is famous for their XXL incense smokers with sizes up 220 cm (over 7 feet). Only a very few workshops are able to craft such large smokermen. The average production time for this smokerman is 3 weeks. Sometimes it can take up to 6 weeks because most figures will be individually crafted. This smokerman is primarily for decorational purposes. The small incense cones do not generate enough smoke to get this smokerman "smoking".For some of the extra large smokers there are electrical smoke generators available.Because of the size of the item it can not be shipped with regular delivery methods outside Germany.
